Interpersonal skills for Managers + Leaders

Do you have employees who are non-communicative, unsure how to manage them? Maybe you have conflicts on your team, but don’t know how to resolve them. Perhaps you have employees yees who you think have the capacity to take on more complex work, larger projects, but you aren’t sure how to coach them. Improve productivity, team and individual effectiveness in organizations that likely have neuroatypical employees.

Atypical Works helps technology organizations to make neurodiversity an asset. People have different strengths, and identifying and leveraging those strengths can make your existing employees happier and more effective. We provide workshops and coaching to improve cohesiveness and communication in teams, and resolve conflicts.

Conflict at work can be more difficult than at home. People have to see each other every day, and don’t have the bonds that keep families and intimate relationships together. If conflict gets too heated, it can impact the effectiveness and productivity. But within conflict, is an opportunity to share ideas, make improvements and have better workplace interactions. We help teams learn how to “do conflict” skillfully.

Get to the root of intractable problems and make effective organizational changes.

Intimate relationships give us a mirror to the best and worst parts of ourselves.

Neurodiversity

Neurodiversity is a movement  that celebrates neurological differences. It  includes autism, ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, Down’s Syndrome and other differences. We specialize in autism, (what used to be called Asperger’s Syndrome), and helping individuals, couples and workplaces learn about autism, and the differences and strengths  it brings.

Being autistic in a neurotypical world is difficult. The world is not set up for sensory sensitivities, and the need to stim. People otten aren’t aware of different ways of thinking, communicating and being. And there are challenges with autism that can make life difficult at times. Neurodiverse relationships can also have particular challenges.

Change

Change is often difficult, whether the changes come internally - from a desire to seek more, fulfill our dreams - or externally, from relationships ending, job losses, cancer, or other illness.

A desire to grow and learn, and go beyond what we currently do can also spark a desire for change. Learn to go beyond your comfort zone. It’s a skill, you can learn it and get better with practice.
