Counselling + Facilitation

Intractable conflicts? Ineffective work teams? Difficult relationships? Unclear path through changes?

I can help.

You can have strong and healthy relationships, that are supportive and fulfilling.

All types of relationship are, at times, uncomfortable, painful, and push us to grow in ways we may not want. But they also give us connection and meaning, and enable us to use our unique strengths and differences. Having good relationships requires skills that we can all learn. You can be happier and more effective at work, and home.

Areas of Practice

Neurodiverse Work Teams

If you work with technology, there is a chance your team includes both neurotypical and neuroatypical folks. Neuroatypical includes Asperger’s/autism, ADHD, dyslexia and other conditions. The differences in communication and work styles can contribute to interpersonal conflict, and make it harder to identify underutilized employees. You may have people capable of doing more complex and difficult roles, but not know how to recognize or manage them.

Change

Change is what we do in life, or what happens to us. Self-induced change requires a shift in our habits and self-identity. Changes imposed upon us - by work, our partners, families, or events in life - requires a change in self-identity that is often uncomfortable and causes distress. I can help you through changes, with tools that help adjust to change, whether you are coping with a new situation or trying to making improvements.

COnflict skills for the conflict averse

Disagreements and relationship conflicts are inevitable, and uncomfortable. Conflict poorly managed can make things worse, and ignoring conflict can come across as threatening. But within every conflict is a potential solution, and a better relationship. A approach with curiosity and kindness, and specific skills can make all the difference.

You can learn skills to work through conflicts, or have complex workplace conflicts facilitated for you. I work with teams, one-on-one and with couples.

Interpersonal skills for Managers + Leaders

Training and coaching for managers and leaders who want to learn how to make teams more effective and responsive to client demands. Do you have brilliant employees who find changes hard to adjust to, or are challenging to work with?

Better Relationships

Communication skills and the ability to work through conflicts are important skills for relationships, but they are only a start. Compatibility, and the ability to connect with intimacy and vulnerability are the deeper parts of a relationship that also require attention.

Neurodiverse relationships are often especially challenging. The way neurotypical and autistic/Asperger’s people relate and communicate can be worlds apart, and full of misunderstandings and unexpressed needs.

Individuals

Counselling for relationship problems, grief and loss, getting through life changes. Change is difficult, and an opportunity to grow. You don’t have to go through problems alone.

We will work collaboratively, using a sensory-based approach that is very effective for getting to the deeper reasons behind problems.
